Sports Festival

Motoki had his first Sports Festival (Undokai) at Elementary School. It was an elaborate event that they had been practicing a long time for. These events are a big deal in Japan and everybody gets very excited about them.

Here are some pictures and videos from the day.

The entire school marches into the sports field. You can see Mo go by at 3:20.

36 Weeks

Doctor said any day now...We can't wait to meet you little buddy.

Summer Projects

Motoki went back to school this Monday. 

He had a lot of summer homework to do. Nearly everyday he practiced math and reading. He had several projects to do including nature drawings and collecting seeds from his morning glory flower.

Here are his two craft projects. Which were to be made from recycled materials.

This is a 'magnetic cleaning robot' made from boxes and an old laptop hard-drive which we took apart.

This is a turtle, made from an old toy, tape, and bubble wrap painted green.
